TEZH MODARRESSI

Tezh is a Baltimore native and 1988 graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. Now based in Philadelphia, she focuses on creating realistic depictions of interior and exterior spaces. Her work captures quiet, atmospheric moments with a sensitivity to light, structure, and lived-in detail. While primarily an oil painter, she also experiments with encaustic techniques, adding texture and depth to her compositions. Tezh’s practice is grounded in observation and memory, often drawing from familiar environments to evoke a sense of place. Her paintings offer viewers an intimate lens on the everyday, rendered with precision, warmth, and quiet reflection.
